A global engineering, management, and development consultancy delivering innovative solutions.
In addition, the position involves mentoring junior staff, reviewing their work, and ensuring adherence to project standards. Regular interaction with client and lead‑office counterparts, as well as coordination with multidisciplinary teams, is essential for successful project delivery.
The role requires deep expertise in network development, calibration, validation and demand‑matrix estimation using PTV VISUM. The incumbent will independently prepare core technical documents such as base‑year validation, forecasting, data‑processing and demand‑matrix development reports, and will support traffic‑impact assessments and the design of transportation infrastructure.
The candidate will leverage GIS platforms (ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS) and analytical tools (Power BI, Python, VBA) to analyse complex data sets, identify trends and develop innovative transport solutions. Knowledge of data‑environment tools such as ProjectWise and an awareness of industry trends are expected to enhance process efficiency.
Key competencies include 8‑13 years of strategic transport modelling experience with PTV VISUM, strong command of highway and public‑transport modelling, variable‑demand techniques and traffic‑assignment methods, plus solid statistical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication, stakeholder liaison and the ability to present technical findings clearly are required.
A master’s degree in transport planning, civil engineering, urban planning or a related discipline is mandatory, together with membership in a recognised professional institution and progression toward chartership. The organisation is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and supports agile working arrangements that allow flexibility for client, team and personal commitments.
