Key responsibilities include engineering and design of aerial, buried, and conduit OSP facilities, preparation of drawings, loop loss calculations, and field measurements; preparation and submission of permit packages to various agencies; coordination with municipal officials, utilities, and contractors to avoid project delays; project and construction support through budgeting, inspections, and make‑ready work; and administrative tasks such as maintaining records and drafting reports.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented OSP Engineer to support telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role focuses on designing, planning, and implementing outside plant (OSP) projects that involve copper and fiber networks, and requires strong engineering, permitting, and construction coordination skills, as well as the ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of hands‑on copper and fiber optic network engineering experience and at least five years in network engineering or OSP‑related work, including permitting and fiber record management. Proficiency with Frontier tools such as FROGS, Varasset, and SiteTracker, strong project management and communication skills, in‑depth knowledge of permitting procedures, and a willingness to travel locally are required. Candidates must reside in Minnesota.
