Research and summarize regulatory considerations in the region;
Develop permit application packages, reports, and perform QA/QC reviews for local agencies, PADEP, USFWS, and USACE;
Meet with clients, as required;
Research regional specific natural resources, survey requirements, threatened and endangered species considerations, permitting and reporting needs;
Support and inform wetland and stream mitigation;
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to evaluate design and permitting considerations;
Maintain schedule, timeliness, and attention to detail as top priorities, and;
Support fieldwork including but not limited to, wetland and stream delineations, biological resources and habitat suitability assessments, plant and animal species inventories, supporting jurisdictional determinations, resource constraints analyses, and tree surveys;
Travel to job sites as required and appropriate;
Evaluate and establish permit strategy;
Work from the Bethlehem office (3 days per week) to support training and mentoring of staff (subject to Langan flexible work policies and workload);

Valid 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification is also desirable; and,
Working knowledge of computers (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint) required;
Local candidates preferred.
10+ years of related experience working in Pennsylvania and/or the Mid-Atlantic region;
Field experience with ability to travel to job sites in remote locations;
Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation to visit job sites as needed;
Bachelor of Science degree in biology, engineering, wildlife, botany, ecology, environmental science or a closely related field;
Excellent analytical and judgement capabilities;
Ability to travel and work extended hours including overnight stays (if required);
Experience using GPS units in the field (use of Field Maps, Survey123);
Experience working with federal and state protected species;
Ability to work during evenings and/or weekends if needed;
Experience working with local, state and federal regulations;
Ability to travel to various job sites and spend most, if not all, of the work day on-site;
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively;
