Tasks

-Be responsible for ensuring the project meets or exceeds its financial objectives, by overseeing and monitoring each stage of the development -Be an effective leader, communicate with department leads regarding work scopes -Ensure safety, quality, and production are maintained -Review project estimate or plan to determine estimated job cost, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise -Anticipate project needs with sufficient lead-time to avoid delays of production. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Ensure project superintendents understand and execute the work as required -Form and lead an effective project management team, define and delegate management responsibilities, and set goals -Maintain healthy safety culture and compliance with company safety policy -Review and control of work planning process by project team -Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, works closely with Project Executive and HR team to manage the relationship with staff and craft -Coordinates daily/weekly meetings with all the area superintendents and project engineers to develop means and methods, schedule contracting needs and long lead delivery times -Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections. Also, review, approve, and negotiate change orders -Manage all field operations and work sequences in conjunction with the Project Executive

What You Bring

-Strong organization/time management skills -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -10+ years' experience in all aspects of managing construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcomes - specifically working in Infrastructure, Bridges, Docks, and Marine. -Ability to understand project scheduling and cost control, and to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Work independently as well as part of a team -Ability to travel and relocate as needed -An undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related degree is preferred -Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies -Effective oral and written communication skills -Regular, reliable attendance -Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
