Junior Structural Buildings Technologist

• Preparing, reviewing structural deliverables and coordinating deliverables in collaboration with other project team members.
• Structural BIM modelling in coordination with project team members.
• Consistently apply drafting standards and policies.
• Actively support Quality Control processes throughout our projects.
• Maintain organized project folders consistent with filing standards.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other ISL disciplines to meet multi-discipline and client needs.
• Discovering and sharing new creative opportunities from automation and AI.
• Maintain and update drafting standards reference materials and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with contract administration to facilitate delivery of our projects.
• Interact and maintain positive relationships with other staff.

The successful applicant will be exposed to the entire project lifecycle – from start to finish, you will see the project from conception to completion!

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of Sketchup, Navisworks, Civil 3D, 3D max, Infraworks and Dynamo.
• Diploma in Engineering or Architectural Technology from an accredited institution.
• Cooperate and communicate well with fellow drafters to optimize efficiencies.
• Practical experience within the construction industry.
• Experience for road or pedestrian bridge design.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects accordingly.
• Experience in architectural design and presentation.
• Willingness to learn and carry out new building related or drafting activities such as (but not limited to) preparing specifications, building and development permits, material, building systems research.
• Your approach to a strong work ethic and a client-centric approach in your work.
• An example of how your organizational, communication, or problem-solving skills have contributed to a successful project.
• Experience with drones and/or 3-D printing.
