  • Lead the commercial management of major projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with best practices and contractual obligations.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new commercial opportunities and client relationships.
  • Support and mentor members of the Commercial Team and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on project status and commercial performance.
  • Negotiate contract value, scope, and terms with a focus on risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Team to ensure service excellence throughout all stages of a project.

  • A key role in delivering major projects with industry-leading clients.

Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Manager (Major Projects) to join their Major Projects division in Central London. This is a pivotal role, responsible for managing opportunities through the sales process and across the full project lifecycle -maximising the commercial success of high-value projects.

  • Proven commercial management experience in major projects, ideally within the construction sector. Experience with a Tier One contractor is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial skills, including budgeting, reporting, and margin analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, prioritisation, and risk management.
  • Strong background in passive fire protection and related industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including strategic negotiation and pricing skills.
