The Cashier serves as the representative of Guckenheimer, responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the cash register and for stocking products according to client and corporate guidelines.
Collaboration involves communicating, motivating, and interacting with customers to promote Guckenheimer/ISS culture, as well as building good relationships with cooks, servers, porters, and managers through friendly greetings and eye contact.
Key accountabilities include accurately recording sales and making change within a 1% margin of error, responding promptly to customer concerns, following safety rules, operating the cash register precisely, preparing and stocking beverage stations, maintaining clean work areas, and performing side work and shift closeout tasks.
Success in this role requires anticipating customer needs, delivering and exceeding expectations, identifying service deficiencies early, and maintaining a positive, reliable attitude aligned with the service values and ethics of the client company, including full compliance with the Allergen Policy.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of retail cashier or similar experience, strong customer service and math skills, familiarity with POS systems and basic computer use, and the ability to restock beverage and product displays while managing cash and credit card transactions.
Physical demands require the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, stand for eight hours per day (excluding breaks), and work under pressure during peak periods while ensuring a safe environment for dining customers and staff.
ISS offers a competitive compensation package that includes benefits, paid time off, and a starting hourly salary of $15.00. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday and weekends, from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.
