The Training Specialist leads the development, coordination, and delivery of training for Direct Marketing team members at Hilton Grand Vacations. This role manages new‑hire onboarding, maintains production and sales records, addresses complaints, and ensures compliance with HGV procedures. The specialist fosters a positive team environment that reflects Hilton Grand Vacations' Commitment to Excellence.
Key responsibilities are divided among onboarding (15%), operational training (50%), performance management (25%) and people management (10%). The specialist partners with Global Team Member Services to verify legal documentation and runs the global orientation program Grand Journey. They create and deliver content for new‑hire, train‑the‑trainer, workshop, e‑learning, and key sales classes, while tracking trainee attendance and performance. Ongoing coaching, compliance monitoring, and handling of workplace violations complete the role’s scope.
The specialist collaborates with sales coaches, team leads, and supervisors to identify developmental opportunities as trainees transition to their new roles. They ensure a safe and supportive learning environment in line with HGV policies, document violations, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary. Continuous improvement of training methods is driven by staying current on system changes, sales strategies, and quality assurance standards.
