We are seeking three reliable groundspersons to join our busy Open Space Management team. The role involves basic horticultural maintenance across landscapes, including annual planting and spray applications. You will use a range of hand and small power tools, working a minimum of 40 hours per week with flexibility for night shifts and after‑hours call‑outs.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong initiative, a proactive mindset and thrives in a dynamic environment supporting a high‑performing roading network. Required qualifications include a Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred) and basic horticulture skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, reliability, trustworthiness and a health‑and‑safety focus are essential.
Additional preferred attributes are a Growsafe certification, comfort working with chemicals, and confidence operating on state highways near traffic. Knowledge of road construction materials, methods and groundspace tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
