Support the preparation of pre-qualification, requests for information, solicitation of interest documents.
Coordinate all requests that require the corporate logo, facilitate communications between the Group and corporate marketing team on all logo and branding requests and work with the corporate marketing team to identify key messages and incorporate into communication.
Create and update marketing descriptions of projects for proposals.
Maintain proposal library of resumes, project profiles, presentations and photos while following brand standards to ensure consistent look and feel for all documents.
Create final proposal documents including printing, copying, collating, folding and binding and ensure they are ready for on time delivery.
Work with the Business Development and Operations Teams in establishing an annual marketing plan and budget for the Northern Alberta Buildings Group, tied to the strategic goals and specific potential market and project opportunities.
Help enhance the Group’s visibility and recognized value to our chosen markets in the buildings sector.
Assist the corporate marketing team with imaging and branding.
Create and maintain proposal templates.
Support the ongoing tracking and maintenance of contact lists and prospects in company CRM database.
Create and implement business specific communication strategies in alignment with the Corporate Communications team, including social media, advertising, etc.
Prepare correspondence, meeting minutes, and other documentation, as required.
Research and gather client specific information in support of Business Development team.
Work with the Director, Business Development and Operations teams in management of marketing budget and plan; create an event schedule, aligned with the Marketing Plan, and work with the Business Development and Operations Teams on delivery and execution of that schedule.
Collaborate with the Business Development team on marketing and advertising strategies that are flexible depending on current business and market trends.
Participate in the ongoing maintenance of the Proposal Responses in support of standardized bid assets (standard responses, static documents, templates, graphics, images, etc.).
Liaise with Corporate Communications to ensure consistency of brand and marketing information.
Provide input for the ongoing advancement of the systems, standards, and practices that build efficiencies, accuracy, and speed into Bird’s proposal process.
Work with the Corporate Communications Team to support the updates of and upgrades to the Group’s internet portal and websites.
Maintain business development content library of one-pagers, presentations, marketing material, client files and other documents.
Work with the Business Development and Operations Teams in the preparation of marketing collateral (advertisements, one-pagers, brochures, posters, and general graphic design) and presentation materials (print and digital forms) while following brand standards to ensure consistent look and feel for all documents.
Provide oversite and management of sales pipeline leveraging Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including management and administration of dashboards, preparation of sales reports, and supporting Business Development in maintaining opportunity quality and completeness.
Support business development initiatives (client events, conferences, tradeshows, etc.) as required.
Obtain corporate marketing team approval for all external promotional material.
Identify and maintain registrations of associations, events, conferences and clients to enhance Bird’s brand in the market; coordinate promotional activities/events aligned with the Industrial Business across Canada (e.g. event planning, client invites and RSVPs, etc.).
Create and update personal biographies and resumes for the Project Team.
Organize annual client events and client gifting.
Manage inventory of materials and company swag as required for the Business Development teams.
Scout and apply for relevant industry awards and submit eligible projects.

Superior written and verbal communication skills
2 years’ working experience with InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe software applications
Undergraduate degree/diploma in marketing/communications or business-related field an asset
Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Experience working with a CRM tool, Prezi, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
3-5 years’ experience in sales/business development environment with marketing and/or proposal creation responsibility
Excellent project management skills and understanding of key business processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics is an asset
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
