The Project Engineer-EPC & Development will assist the Construction Manager and Senior Development Staff with day-to-day tasks in Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), which may include but is not limited to: tracking and monitoring progress; managing submittals, RFIs, schedules, contractors, vendors, permit coordination, construction & contract documentation, etc.
- Assist in management and oversight of consultants and contractors
- Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors and contractors
- Supervises progress of development project and prepares weekly and monthly status reports for senior staff and off-takers.
- Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs
- Assist in management of QA/QC process, commissioning, inspections, signoffs, punchlists, and closeout documents.
- Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan required to complete the project
- Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies
- Compares and tracks the actual cost of development project to budget.
- Assist in management of energy regulatory approvals (CUP, CAISO, FERC, NERC, CEC, EIA, etc.)

- Bachelors degree in related engineering discipline or construction management required
- Prior experience in utility scale solar with an EPC or IPP
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Understanding of utility scale solar construction practices (racking systems, inverters, substations, gen-tie, electrical design concepts, etc.)
- Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- 3-5 years prior experience in utility scale solar EPC.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Sharepoint or other document control software
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Project Management software including but not limited to BlueBeam, Microsoft Project, etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing PVSYST reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
