Advances the strategic direction of the Region and positions the business line for sustained and continued profitable growth consistent with the context of the strategic plan.
Serves as an ambassador for AECOM.
Implements strategic plans and objectives of the organization as applicable to the Region.
Provides strategic direction and leadership to Canada Region Buildings & Places team.
Participates in the development of Regional growth and business development strategy in collaboration with other Regional business line leaders and Client Account Managers.
Provides leadership for the Region by communicating the strategy and objectives of the organization and Region to the Buildings & Places business line.
Accountable for the Buildings & Places business line’s P&L including revenue generation, project margin achievement, cash targets, G&A, project delivery, client satisfaction, staff utilization, technical talent and team resources (hiring, staff retention etc), safety, claims resolution and quality.
Ensures the success and growth of the Region through collaboration with the Global Buildings & Places business line and other Regions and Business lines.

20+ years of related experience.
Outstanding communication skills, including experience speaking to large groups of staff.
Extensive experience in driving growth, developing strategy, generating sales, and building high performance teams.
Bilingual (French and English).
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or other related field.
6+ years of experience in business development, operations management, Profit and Loss, staff management and leadership experience.
Secret-level security clearance or eligibility with the Canadian government.
Demonstrates creativity, foresight and mature judgement.
Significant experience and client relationships in the practice areas associated with the Buildings & Places business line – including architecture + interior, building + system engineering, cost + project management and/or urbanism and planning.
Advanced Business degree.
Extensive years of related experience in the A/E/C Industry with a focus on one or more of the following services: architecture + interiors, building + system engineering, cost + project management and/or Urbanism and planning.
Licensed architect in one or more provinces (OAQ, OAA, AAA, AIBC, NSAA, AANB).
10+ years in the geographic marketplace.
Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills.
