  • Identify, investigate, and analyze problems.
  • Evaluate and revise substation engineering procedures, design tools, and provide recommendations.
  • Interface and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure a seamless design between civil/structural engineering, system protection, construction personnel, consultants, vendors, and management regarding substation design.
  • Coordinate and review the work of other engineering associates
  • Support high voltage substation electrical/physical design and construction drawing development.
  • Use AutoCAD to design substation one-lines, three-lines, layouts, section views, grounding layouts, and electrical details.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Driver's license
  • Knowledge of IEEE Standards
  • Experience with 138kV, 345kV, or 765kV substation electrical/physical design
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus four or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
