The Cycle Manager is responsible for managing the Cycle Plan for Nuclear Clean Energy Centers, sequencing work while considering design specifications, safety analyses, regulatory compliance, and resource constraints to safely optimize electrical production and minimize maintenance costs.
This role blends technical expertise, leadership, and coordination to ensure safe, efficient nuclear plant operations, align maintenance activities with business objectives, and support continuous material condition improvement.
- Manage work sequencing, scope, and risk level compliance with Technical Specifications and Maintenance Rule for equipment and system work windows.
- Coordinate and control the work schedule from initial planning (E‑28) through turnover to the Work Week Manager.
- Bundle tasks within work windows to minimize plant risk and SSC unavailability, serving as the switchyard maintenance interface.
- Direct CEC organizations to integrate the Material Condition Improvement Plan into the cycle plan and meet business goals.
- Establish cycle plan boundaries, monitor Cycle Schedulers’ performance, and chair or participate in the Station Oversight Committee.
- Screen new issue reports and drive backlog management, balancing preventative, corrective, and elective maintenance.
- Mentor and develop Work Management staff and determine online risk levels for emergent work.
- Perform additional duties such as emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and support for outage activities.
- Maintain required unescorted access and pass a favorable medical examination per position duties.

Minimum qualifications include a relevant degree or equivalent experience, required access clearance, and a favorable medical exam; preferred candidates bring experience in work management, scheduling tools, and supervisory responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience, or Senior Reactor Operator license with 8 years, or high school diploma/GED with 10 years.
- Preferred: experience in work management and scheduling, proficiency with PC and mainframe scheduling tools, and supervisory or managerial experience.
