Stay current with the latest versions of Revit, industry add-ins, and emerging BIM technologies and standards, such as ISO 19650.
Occasionally requires extended hours to support launch and critical project timelines
Oversee the BIM process on multiple civil structures projects, from initial planning and design through to construction and as-built documentation, ensuring Revit models are accurately developed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
Develop and deliver customized training programs to enhance the Revit proficiency of all civil engineering staff, from basic principles to advanced modeling techniques.
Ensure all BIM deliverables, especially Revit models, meet the required level of accuracy, detail, and quality as defined by project and company standards.
Champion the adoption of BIM technologies across all civil engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless integration between Revit and other platforms like Civil 3D.
Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive library of standardized Revit families and content specifically for civil structural elements (e.g., bridge components, retaining walls, culverts, foundations).
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in plant layout design and material handling systems.
Communicating with others to exchange information
Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others.
Generate 2D and 3D layout drawings, as well as associated documentation and reports, to communicate design concepts and implementation guidelines.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, particularly around Revit and digital innovation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment during project execution.
Reporting issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Lead interdisciplinary coordination using federated models, with a strong emphasis on the structural Revit model as a key source of truth.
Supervise and mentor a team of BIM coordinators and modelers, with a focus on elevating their Revit skills.
Conduct regular, rigorous quality control reviews of Revit models and associated documentation.
Conduct periodic reviews of existing plant layouts to identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction.
Mentor project teams on best practices for Revit modeling, work-sharing, and data management.
Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
Manage and lead clash detection and resolution meetings, utilizing Navisworks to coordinate Revit models with designs from other disciplines.
Collaborate with civil structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate utilities, power supplies, and infrastructure into the layout design.
Partners with stakeholders to understand project requirements, specifications, and objectives.
Establish and manage a Common Data Environment (CDE) for all project information, ensuring Revit models and data are central to the project ecosystem.
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's BIM strategy, with a primary focus on robust Revit standards and workflows for civil structures.
Develop and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), clearly defining Revit modeling standards, Level of Development (LOD) requirements, and collaboration procedures.
Provide expert support on other key software, including Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, and InfraWorks, while ensuring optimal interoperability with Revit.
Reading and interpreting hazardous warning signs
Serve as the in-house expert for Revit Structure, providing advanced technical guidance and troubleshooting for project teams.

Experience with 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost estimation) BIM processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Revit or other relevant industry certifications.
Familiarity with data management and collaboration platforms such as BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
Experience with Dynamo for Revit to automate tasks and enhance workflows.
Experience with other BIM and reality capture software (e.g., AVEVA 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, OpenBridge, Recap, ReCap Pro).
Some travel may be required (up to 10%)
Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure is essential, with a demonstrable portfolio of complex projects.
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge.
Background and experience must include drafting/ designer experience in engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection or civil
Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Experience in nuclear or regulated environments is a plus.

Solid working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and an understanding of how it interfaces with Revit for civil infrastructure projects.
Ability to work with highly collaborative team.
Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Revit or other relevant industry certifications is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the AECO industry, with at least 5 years in a dedicated BIM management or coordination role focused on structural or civil projects.
Experience with Autodesk Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, scissor lifts, articulated boom lifts and the like
Strong understanding of spatial planning, material flow optimization, and equipment placement principles.
Proven experience in creating and managing advanced Revit families, parameters, and templates.
