Maintaining control of the project by tracking and maintaining discipline performance budget progress, schedule commitments and quality standards. Understanding and utilizing the project tools in place for project control.
Promoting continued relationships with clients.
Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.
Validating professional service and construction estimates at the beginning of a project, and then tracking changes as the project progresses. - Reviewing and approving all deliverables.
Consulting with design leaders, then following up for support to ensure efficient progress and quality of technical contractual activities on one or more projects of various sizes.
Field construction efforts, design phase services and all subcontracting as well as participating in all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions.
Coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
Providing on-site assistance during startup.
Reviewing and checking vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for input.
Reviewing fabrication drawings and other construction submittals for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
Consulting with design leaders to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for the scheduled completion of the project.
Advising the senior engineer concerning design or scope changes, which have been identified.
Reviewing construction specifications.
Planning and organizing the work of the project team. Communicating the plan to the team, project leadership and the client.
Participating in the planning of training programs, continuing education opportunities and professional development of staff.
