  • Participate in daily meetings to ensure operational efficiencies and interdepartmental communication.
  • Develop and maintain leasing goals and effective lease expiration programs.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to maximize the financial potential of the assets.
  • Maintain product knowledge of Mark-Taylor communities as well as market conditions for competitor communities.
  • Manage on-site team through training, motivation, and development programs.
  • Create and manage staffing schedules to ensure they meet community needs.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve operational excellence, while fostering a culture of trust, community, and team member engagement.
  • Uphold Mark-Taylor’s commitment to excellence in customer service and company standards, including best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare and convey all operational and financial data to the Managing Director.
  • Oversee property management and preventative maintenance programs and ensure all safety programs are implemented and followed.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop annual operating budgets/forecast and sales/marketing plans. Maximize net operating income through effective cost control and revenue improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with the owners to identify community goals and objectives.
  • Build and develop excellent relationships and rapport with key business partners, clients, and residents.
  • Implement and monitor resident retention and lease renewal programs and ensure service requests are being followed-up on.
  • Acquire and develop top-talent by providing structure, direction, ongoing feedback, and recognition.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improvement, including recommended changes to rent/pricing strategies.

  • Knowledgeable about OSHA laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees, stakeholders, and customers.
  • A real estate license is required for this position.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Computer literate with capability in PMS software, MS Office, and related communication tools
  • Ability to analyze complex data, make informed decisions, and solve problems.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and sales ability.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Goal orientated, self-starter work ethic.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Property Manager, District Manager, General Manager, or Regional Manager in a multi-family setting is required.
  • Operational Experience: Proven experience overseeing daily operations, improving processes, and implementing strategic initiatives, typically gained over 3 - 5 years.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Capability to develop and execute business strategies and plans.
