Key business development duties include assessing the regional market, shaping technical strategies, pursuing new clients and contracts, and collaborating across transportation, resources, water, and federal sectors. The lead will also serve as client manager for major accounts, represent HDR at industry events, and support the Strategic Pursuits program.
Staff development responsibilities involve mentoring wastewater professionals, assigning projects to build skills, recruiting talent, and coordinating staffing plans with regional leaders. The leader will also drive technical excellence, support the Drive to Zero initiative, and identify investments in technology and people.
In project delivery, the lead will assist business group leadership with client management, QA/QC oversight, risk management, and work‑sharing to meet goals. They will engage in the PARR process, capture lessons learned, and may take on Project Management or Principal‑in‑Charge assignments.
Preferred qualifications include a BS in engineering, PE registration in NY and/or NJ, and more than ten years of wastewater planning, design, and construction experience with strong client relationships. Required qualifications mirror these expectations, adding proven strategic marketing program development, staff development experience, and active participation in industry associations.
