  • Develop programmes and forecast budgets with the Senior Agent, derive simple indices to assess actual programme and productivity achieved and prepare reports for weekly and monthly reviews
  • Complete inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works ensuring that all necessary documentation are produced in a timely manner
  • Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client / designer project team
  • Ensure all delivery tickets are cost coded and passed to accounts dept for processing
  • Requisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure that they are correctly specified and readily available so as not to impede the construction programme
  • Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained
  • Regularly review with the Senior Agent the performance, training and development needs of your direct reports
  • Manage supervise and mentor site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and appropriate records
  • Reconciliation of planned versus actual resources for compilation of weekly reports and the control and ordering of resources
  • Be fully conversant with supply chain contract conditions and responsibilities, manage their works and account measurement with the commercial team

  • Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.

  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering
  • Relevant CSCS Card
