The position is a full‑time Vice President role located in New York, reporting to the Asset Based Finance team. The VP will analyze, underwrite, execute, and manage structured finance transactions across multiple asset classes.
- Source, underwrite, execute, and manage structured finance transactions across asset classes.
- Originate deals, construct economic terms, and negotiate with counterparties.
- Evaluate investment opportunities in Non‑QM/DSCR, 2nd liens/HELOCs, investor, MSR, bridge, manufactured housing, and other residential assets.
- Model cash flows for whole loans, securitizations, warehouse equity, senior/mezzanine lending, and other private residential investments.
- Prepare due‑diligence materials, screenings, and investment committee memos.
- Monitor portfolio performance and perform quarterly investment valuations.

- Exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with high integrity.
- Possess 5+ years of asset‑backed finance investing experience at an asset manager, insurance company, hedge fund, or similar.
- Familiarity with residential asset classes and mortgage‑backed securitizations, credit facilities, and loan purchases.
- Skilled in negotiating legal documents for mortgage‑backed transaction structures.
- Advanced valuation, modeling, and Excel expertise; proficient with PowerPoint, CAS, Intex, and related systems.
- Ability to multitask, maintain composure in high‑volume environments, and execute with urgency and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder interaction, and collaborative abilities across teams.
- Effective prioritization, project management, and structured problem‑solving in a high‑growth setting.
Benefits
Base salary is expected to be $200,000‑$225,000, commensurate with experience, plus an annual discretionary bonus. The role includes a competitive benefits package with health, life, disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid public holidays, sick leave, and additional time off subject to manager approval. Salary ranges may vary for locations outside New York.
