In this role you will support data‑center startups, perform on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. You’ll partner with automation and controls engineers to troubleshoot and validate systems, while keeping customers and project teams informed with clear updates. Travel follows rotating schedules, delivering new challenges and locations regularly.
We are seeking curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who thrive on travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that actually knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, think on your feet, and enjoy solving complex challenges, you’ll feel right at home with us. This opportunity is ideal for those who prefer moving around to staying behind a desk.
We look for candidates who love travel, have a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, and demonstrate adaptability and grit. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills are essential, along with living within 50 miles of a major airport and having a personal vehicle ready soon after hire. A technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience of at least three years in a related field, plus the ability to meet physical demands, rounds out the ideal profile.
Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals for field work, covering essential electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. Success in the program requires a basic foundation in these areas, so newcomers without this background may not be the best fit at this time. The training is designed to be transparent and equips you with the skills needed for the role.
At ProAutomated you’ll combine work with travel, experiencing new cities while delivering projects to customers across North America. We offer competitive compensation, a clear path for salary growth, and a comprehensive benefits package that supports you on and off the job. Our culture emphasizes teamwork, humor, and personal recognition, ensuring every team member feels valued and supported.
