Prepare Engineering estimate and technical write-up for proposals.
Check the work performed meets the quality requirements in accordance with Company QA programs and manuals.
Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents and compile engineering packages.
Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management.
Participate in formal engineering design and other reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question.
Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs including ANSYS, SAP2000, ACS SASSI and other structural programs.
Review and comment on the work performed by the others to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation.
Ensure Compliance with applicable Codes, Standards and Regulations, and ensuring the adequacy of design for permits and compliance with approved plans.
Prepare technical specification documents.
Provide technical instructions to Junior staff or designers to develop engineering documentation.
Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design.
Accountable for the delivering all engineering deliverables/task to achieve project objectives within specified timelines and budgets.
Perform plant walkdowns as and if required in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modifications.

Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Eligible to be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada. Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is desired.
Must have experience with seismic analysis of structures and foundations.
Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset.
Must have thorough knowledge of use of finite element analysis software.
Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.
Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable.
Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering.
Deep and thorough understanding of structural analysis and seismic analysis.
Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
