The Traveling Superintendent supervises field construction on projects across the United States, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards that exceed client expectations. This role oversees all trades, coordinates daily activities, and maintains communication with design professionals, consultants, and clients while directing subcontractors and construction personnel safely and efficiently.
The position requires overseeing pre‑construction tasks such as reviewing plans and executing start‑up activities, developing a comprehensive construction schedule, and advising the Project Manager of any schedule impacts. During execution, the Superintendent tracks progress, costs, and time‑and‑material work, produces daily reports, verifies measurements, and resolves discrepancies. They also build strong relationships with owners, managers, foremen and subcontractors, lead weekly meetings, and enforce safety and site‑maintenance standards.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and have at least five years (preferably ten) of supervisory experience in commercial, restaurant, retail, healthcare or industrial construction. Extensive knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures is essential; willingness to travel is required. Preferred qualifications include an OSHA 30‑Hour certification and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore.
Loberg offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $75,000 to $125,000, with regular raises and bonuses, premier medical‑dental‑vision insurance, HSA contributions, 401(k) matching, profit sharing, and a generous PTO plan that rolls over up to 40 hours after three years. The company promotes a wonderful culture and team environment that emphasizes fun and collaboration.
