Essential responsibilities include leading and directing teams to meet project goals, safety, and contract schedules; communicating effectively with front‑line leaders; monitoring performance metrics such as cost, schedule, safety, quality and environmental impact and guiding teams accordingly; assisting in schedule development, resource allocation and execution planning; supporting front‑line leaders with training and development; promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with HS&E and OH&S regulations; reviewing financial reports and implementing strategies to achieve budget targets; ensuring contract and regulatory compliance, including collective agreement administration; and assisting in fleet and asset management improvement strategies.

Requirements

Ledcor is seeking a skilled and safety‑focused Highway Maintenance Supervisor to lead highway infrastructure, maintenance and construction activities in Alberta. The role directly oversees crews to ensure compliance with safety, environmental and maintenance standards. Candidates should have 3‑5 years of experience in highway road maintenance, infrastructure, bridge maintenance or construction in a supervisory role, with technical training or trade certification considered an asset. Experience managing bridge and highway projects, strong knowledge of HSEQ standards, proven planning, scheduling and leadership skills, and familiarity with continuous improvement processes (ISO or other management systems) are preferred. Preference is given to local residents due to the nature of the work; shift work, on‑call and night shifts are required, with a Monday‑Friday schedule and after‑hours phone monitoring. Work combines office and outdoor tasks in various weather conditions, and a relocation allowance is available.

• Possess 3‑5 years supervisory experience in highway, bridge or infrastructure maintenance.
• Hold technical training or trade certification in a related field (preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of HSEQ standards and continuous improvement processes (ISO or similar).
• Ability to work shift, on‑call and night hours; monitor phone for after‑hours emergencies.
• Flexible to work both office and outdoor environments in varied weather conditions.
