Summary Description: The Systems Analyst is part of the Control Systems team within BITS. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining NCEC's Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, implementing system enhancements, performing data analysis, and executing integration tasks, such as commission new DER/DR resources into DERMS, Pi Historian, EMS, and SCADA systems.
Academic and Trade Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, economics or other analytically intensive equivalent is required.
Job Knowledge: The candidate should have a good working knowledge of the power/energy industry. Knowledge in the areas of distribution operations, SCADA, distributed generation, real time historian and metering are desirable. A strong candidate will also have knowledge of various communication technologies, databases, query languages, and other applicable information technology software and hardware.
This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site work at NCEC's location on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote work is available on the remaining days of the week.
Work Experience: A preferred candidate should have power/energy industry experience in engineering, operations, DER/DR, SCADA operations or another related field. Additional experience will be considered.
Normal office conditions with occasional travel.
