This role is physically located in Kuwait supporting LOGCAP and reports to the Supply Supervisor. The incumbent inspects multi‑class supply material received at the Retrograde, identifies and classifies serviceability, and tags items for disposition with appropriate comments and inspector stamps. The position also assists daily Retrograde operations, handling technical supply management tasks such as inventory, storage, cataloging, and property utilization.
Key responsibilities include applying supply system knowledge to determine appropriate actions, planning and conducting technical inspections, interpreting manuals and directives, classifying part conditions, and recommending process improvements. The employee counts, sorts, and verifies incoming material, compiles inventory reports, prepares daily CDRL reports, transports supplies, and ensures the physical security of sensitive and pilferable items while maintaining compliance with Army regulations and safety policies.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, U.S. citizenship, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. A minimum of five years of continuous supply operations experience is required, along with problem‑solving skills, proficiency in AIS/GCSS‑Army systems, repair parts procedures, classification paperwork, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Army COSIS, ARs, and TMs. Strong oral and written communication, customer service training, and material‑handling equipment operation are also essential.
The position demands work in extreme desert conditions, with temperatures ranging from 30 °F in winter to 130 °F in summer, and may involve indoor, outdoor, and industrial environments. Physical requirements include occasional lifting of up to 50 lb, frequent handling of 30 lb, and constant effort of 10 lb, as well as standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, and potential exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Personal protective equipment must be used as required, and all fire and safety regulations must be observed.
