Negotiation and management of power purchase agreements
Coordination of the system expansion while partnering with Generation, Power Delivery, Environmental Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Accounting, Finance and Treasury, and many others.

Involvement with Company-owned generation development, avoided cost filings, resource certification filings with the Public Service Commission
Generation planning and analysis
Working across multiple organizations in the evaluation of proposed energy policies, incorporating Company strategic initiatives and developing innovative programs and services for customers, all while ensuring reliable service.
Supporting the addition of generation resources through Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Company-owned projects including leading the regulatory process for certification of such resources
Leading the development of the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) for GPC and leading the regulatory process for IRP filings
Specified aspects of drafting and preparation of regulatory filings and associated data requests, development of PowerPoint presentations, performing secondary research, spreadsheet analysis, management of assigned project activities and coordination with other departments regarding project activities.
Coordinating with Alabama Power and Mississippi Power and supporting system initiatives through System Planning
Planning and operations of renewable generation
Builds and maintains effective relationships.
Support for procurement of long-term purchased power from independent power producers
Electric utility planning-related legislative and regulatory policy support, planning oversight of Georgia Power’s wholesale assets, and other resource planning projects
Development and implementation of the Company's Integrated Resource Plan

Ability to handle overlapping tasks and deadlines with clarity and efficiency.
MBA or other advanced degree(s) a plus.

Transmission analysis and policy

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Working knowledge of the electric industry and familiarity with generation planning.
BS, BA, or BBA in Economics, Business, Finance or Engineering would be desired.
