Senior Property Compliance Analyst

• Conduct business specific research – gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports and make recommendations.
• Complete tenant file compliance reviews and reports for designated clients with minimal oversight as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Adhere to internal Firm deadlines (time entry).
• Develop, strengthen and maintain effective client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness and service-oriented approach.
• Supervise and mentor property compliance analyst.
• Speak and lead trainings, workshops and webinars specific to tenant file compliance with Section 42, Section 8 or other Government Housing Programs.

Requirements

• When needed, ability to take staff, form effective teams, and lead them quickly to address emergent needs.
• Understanding of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA).
• Ability to direct and organize client needs; to establish goals and objectives that support a strategic plan; to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions; to develop and evaluate policies and procedures; and to prepare reports.
• Ability to accept constructive feedback and make adjustments as directed.
• Motivated leader who can inspire the best in their team and confidence in client relations.
• Available to work evenings and weekends based on position needs, and to travel domestically (expected to be 25-35% of the time, depending on workload).
• Perform work accurately and in a time efficient manner, with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, team spirited, strong relationship building skills.
• Extensive knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations including, but not limited to:
• Able to contribute ideas and add value to designated team.
• Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Power Point) and report writing tools.
• Strong ability to manage a wide range of activities with a diverse client population.
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster a productive, team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• The ability to simplify complicated tasks.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• IRC Section 42 (LIHTC) and IRC Section 142 (Tax-Exempt Bonds), including subsequent guidance (e.g. Treasury Regulations) the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Guide to Complete Form 8823
• Extensive knowledge of Texas Local Government Code, Title 9, Subtitle C, Chapter 303 related to Public Facility Corporations as codified in Texas Administrative Code, Title 10, Part 1, Chapter 10, Subchapter I related to Public Facility Corporation Compliance Monitoring.

• Compensation: $80,000 to $86,000 depending on experience. More is possible if experience dictates.
