From early concept work through to installation and optimisation, you’ll play a key part in bringing solutions to life — tackling challenges, improving processes, and helping us deliver standout results.
This is a varied, hands-on position working across multiple industrial sites in the Northwest. You’ll be involved in designing, developing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems that enhance performance and reliability.
- Operate fabrication tools and plant equipment (training provided if required)
- Maintain, support, and improve manufacturing equipment (especially within FMCG and pharmaceutical environments)
- Provide technical support and insight to the project management team
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble components directly from technical drawings
- Modify, optimise, and upgrade machinery and production lines
- Work with utilities including compressed air, steam, and water; adjust and install piping systems
- Deliver mechanical solutions from initial concept and design through to installation
- Repair and overhaul pumps, motors, valves, bearings, and rotating equipment

- MEWP/Scissor Lift or working at height certification
- Strong bench fitting, machining, and general mechanical skills
- Background in blue-chip manufacturing environments
- IOSH certification
- Solid understanding of design principles, materials, and CAD drawings
- Time-served or apprentice-trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic Microsoft Office skills for reporting and documentation
- Able to work independently or as part of a team, meeting deadlines confidently
- Skilled in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and a professional client-facing approach
