Camp Boss

Description

The Camp Boss is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of the camp kitchen and accommodations for workers on-site. This role ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable living and dining environment, manages kitchen staff, coordinates meal planning, and maintains supply inventories. The Camp Boss plays a key role in supporting worker welfare and overall camp logistics.

• Address and resolve any issues related to accommodation or meal service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, dining area, and living quarters.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate meal preparation and service to meet dietary needs and schedules of camp residents.
• Supervise and manage kitchen staff and housekeeping personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain records of meals served, supplies used, and staff attendance.
• Foster a positive and respectful camp environment for all residents and staff.
• Manage inventory of food, supplies, and kitchen equipment; order and maintain stock levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of food and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor camp facilities for safety hazards and report maintenance needs.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in camp management, hospitality, or kitchen supervision preferred.
• Ability to manage inventory and supplies efficiently.
• Ability to work in a remote or camp environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
