Collaborate directly with clients, vendors, and engineering colleagues to resolve process safety challenges
Provide input during loss prevention discussions with clients and clients’ insurers such as FM Global
Serve as the primary process safety contact, coordinating with client representatives, equipment vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to gather information and resolve safety-related issues
Independently lead and plan process safety activities across various project design stages
Deliver a range of process safety deliverables, such as:
Support projects across a diverse range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, specialty chemicals, advanced manufacturing, energy, and waste recycling
Prepare / contribute to code compliance documentation, particularly regarding hazardous materials in process buildings, aligned with state and federal regulations, ICC, and NFPA standards
Assist in expanding Process Safety services in the U.S. by identifying and supporting business development opportunities with new and existing clients

Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA)
In-depth knowledge of U.S. health and safety regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards
Demonstrated expertise in key process safety areas such as Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), hazardous location classification, Process Safety Management (PSM), and pressure relief device (PRD) sizing, etc.
Strong team orientation and enthusiasm for collaborative work
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for success in this role
Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively
Flexible and adaptable to meet evolving project demands and dynamic work environments
Hands-on experience in process design, including development and maintenance of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, and process calculation
Consequence modeling (e.g., toxic dispersion, fire, explosion); familiarity with DNV-Phast software is a plus
10+ Years' of relevant experience in a similar role, with strong expertise in process safety and process design within the life sciences industry
Professional Engineering (PE) license is desirable; candidates actively pursuing licensure are also encouraged to apply
Familiarity with client-specific standards and regulatory frameworks from both the U.S. and Europe is a plus
