Provide inputs to the Project Manager in the definition and preparation of the project procedures and guidelines, and ensure that they are fully met in all the engineering activities and in their outputs (project specifications and documentation)
Ensure seamless workflow in the project to avoid delays
Provide inputs to the Project Managers in the evaluation of the project changes (evaluating their feasibility, identifying the technical solution to implement and identifying the required resources) including the ones that require a change order (to be discussed with the Client)
Organize the project engineering activities and the assigned resources (engineering specialists, subcontractors, tools, etc.), providing all needed explanation/support.
Expediting project deliverables with interdisciplinary functions to meet targets and schedules
Coordinate preparation of detailed schedules and manpower plans for engineering activities.
Document design changes and impact on cost and schedule.
Coordinate the activities of the Engineering subcontractors, collect and verify their activity reports and authorize their payment within his/her limits of authorization
Ensure timely delivery of technical specifications, drawings, calculations, etc., and ensure on-time approval of the same from the client/statutory bodies.
Coordinate monthly meetings among disciplines and the company to ensure common goals and objectives are met.
To Assist the project manager in keeping a tab on deliverables and timelines, MTO/drawings/3D Model reviews, and coordination with the various disciplines involved
Ensure a detailed engineering scope of work is prepared for the complete project.
Prompt identification of issues and risks related to the engineering deliverables and implementing the required mitigation actions
Regularly inform the Project Manager on the performance and the status of the project engineering activities
Ensure proper inputs on time to concerned departments to enable timely issue of deliverables
