We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Service Excellence HVAC/R Lead Technician in Chicago, IL. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal, efficient operation of the fleet of Budderfly HVAC Units.
- Ensure continued excellent operation of Budderfly HVAC Units in your geographic area, maintaining and repairing HVAC/R systems and equipment.
- Identify maintenance risks on HVAC/R equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC/R systems.
- Complete commissioning checks of HVAC units, including controller configurations and mechanical operation.
- Perform physical maintenance such as changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and checking for mechanical failures.
- Respond to emergency service calls on nights and weekends (on‑call once per week/month).
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Keep daily logs and records of all functions in the company work order system.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Assist with customers' queries.

- Minimum 5 years of experience as an HVAC/R service technician.
- Experience with HVAC controls; familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is a benefit.

- Ability to travel within Chicago, IL and surrounding areas.
