The technician performs general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move‑in, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks, as well as following a preventative maintenance schedule and following up with residents after repairs.
The Apartment Maintenance Technician role is ideal for natural problem solvers who take pride in a job well done. Candidates should hold an EPA Type II or Universal and/or Pool Certification, or be willing to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications include one to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, or mechanical repair, with required HVAC experience and an EPA Type II or Universal certification obtained at hire or within 90 days. A valid driver’s license from the state of residence is also required.
