Key duties include generating accurate work orders, providing delivery forecasts to sales after capacity reviews, and monitoring shop‑floor progress with regular backlog and performance reporting. You will analyse sales, shipment and capacity data to minimise late‑delivery risk, resolve labour, equipment or material constraints, and work closely with procurement to secure external items. In addition, you will lead production status meetings, collaborate with department heads on optimal schedules, and contribute to the Annual Operating Plan and financial targets. You will also produce KPI and schedule‑adherence reports, manage production changes, and continuously improve planning methods and tools.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in production or material planning within a manufacturing or engineering environment and is proficient with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Office. A solid understanding of end‑to‑end supply‑chain principles, master production scheduling, inventory control and shop‑floor management is essential. Strong problem‑solving, organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels are required.
