The Project Controls position supports planning and scheduling for electrical projects, overseeing budgeting, scheduling, cost control, risk control, and resource planning. The role reports to the Division Manager and contributes to division‑wide standardization and process implementation initiatives.
Key duties include tracking project progress, analyzing bottlenecks and trends, producing weekly performance metrics, and coordinating startup and closeout meetings. The incumbent will develop and maintain quality management processes, ensure document control, create and update division schedules, and support cost and risk assessments.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience with an electrical contractor and a degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent construction management experience). Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office, preferably Primavera P6 and Viewpoint accounting software, strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities, and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels.
The position is based in a typical office environment with regular sitting, computer work, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lb, as well as occasional travel to job sites or training events. Effective verbal and written communication in English is essential for interacting with customers, employees, unions, and vendors.
