High School Diploma/GED.
Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
Must have vision skills acceptable for a lift truck license and the motor skills/climbing ability to safety board/operate the equipment.
Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
Must be able to properly use tools and equipment (including but not limited to die cart, control panel, Quick Die Changeover tooling and molding changeovers) to set-up, remove, and set dies in power presses and transfer dies to and from the die rack.
Thinking Creatively – Applying creativity, seeking improvements, understanding from the customers’ lens
Must be able to use various measurement tools, too conduct a First Part Approval (FPA) on the output part to ensure that the part meets the design specification or deviation limits. This will include but is not limited to vernier caliper, height gage, go-no gage, tape measure.
Complete Press Operator Training Course (Press Operator/Die Setter).
Must be able to operate any power driven press, located within the department, to punch, trim, and form or perform other shaping or fabricating operations on metal weighing in excess of 25 pounds by subjecting the metal to pressure between dies or punches.
Must be able to follow written work instructions to ensure the proper parameters are entered during die set-up.
Self directed, requiring minimal supervision.
