Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and design complex piping supports.
Prepare complete documentation of the stress analysis and support design.
Prepare technical bid evaluations for static equipment.
Provides technical direction to designers and drafters.
Design and review pressure vessels, heating exchangers, tanks, separators, and other static equipment in compliance with ASME Section VIII, API 650, and TEMA.
Provide field verification and support for mechanical execution as required.
Work closely with the Project team to understand the priorities of work.
Identify different stress packages through review of P&IDs / Line Designation tables.
Prepare design calculations, drawings, data sheets and specifications for static equipment.
Performs piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems.
Locate and identify pipe supports on isometrics, including support types.
Review supplier drawings and data during detail design phase.
Review P&IDs and line lists.

Able and willing to work in the Corpus Christi, TX area.
8-10+ years of direct experience in oil/gas industry in mechanical and piping.
Able to adapt to tight deadlines and changes in priorities.
Hold a valid PE in the state of Texas.
Ability to be self-managed and achieve project objectives on a high volume of work.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
Ability to coordinate with other groups to complete work and ensure progress on deliverables.
In depth knowledge of rotating and machinery equipment.
Familiarity with LNG Projects.
Able to communicate effectively with other teams and management on work progress, barriers, priorities.
Familiar with design software (PRG FEA, Caesar II, Compress, Mathcad).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledgeable of applicable codes and standards (ASME Sec VIII, B31.3, B31.1, API).
