Provide direct and frequent advice to Regional Supervisors and the Director on matters concerning the design of projects and the stewardship of state facilities.
Advise Director of current staffing levels, upcoming workload levels, and upcoming staffing needs to support workload in Regions 1-3.
Direct work assignment, workload management, and performance management of Regional Supervisors.
Act on behalf of the Director in developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders within State government and private industry.
Take lead in claim review for claims on contracts in Regions 1-3.
Directing Pre-Default Meetings and Show Cause Meetings
Interact with and lead members of the Division of Construction, and all others internal and external, to Design & Construction.
Recommend and implement improvements in existing programs within the Division, establishing policies and management systems, setting priorities and developing new initiatives.
Provide overall instruction/guidance to staff across the Regions that this position oversees, consulting architects/engineers, construction managers, and others as required.
Directing tracking and facilitating the execution of high priority and problem projects in Regions 1-3.
Manage overall construction and reconstruction efforts for significant structures or facilities.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, and all divisions within OGS as well as building relationships across diverse stakeholders.
Participate in strategic planning, long-range planning and master planning for the Division.
Oversee and ensure the effectiveness of the Emergency contracting process in Regions 1-3.
