Establish KPIs and accountability structures; provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
Collaborate with executive leadership on joint ventures and strategic partnerships where applicable.
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with private owners, EPCs, engineers, and developers.
Attend industry functions, conferences, and pre-bid meetings.
Lead and manage a high-performing business development team across multiple regions and market segments.
Collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, legal, and operations to help craft compelling, compliant proposals and bids.
Develop and execute a long-range business development strategy aligned with company goals for revenue growth and market penetration in heavy civil and demolition sectors.
Support early contractor involvement (ECI) and design assist efforts in collaboration with technical teams.
Lead market analysis and intelligence efforts to identify high-value customers / project pursuits in target geographies and scopes of work.
Work closely with marketing, preconstruction, safety, and project delivery teams to align messaging, proposals, and capabilities presentations.
Ensure alignment of business development efforts with operational capacity and core competencies.

Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Cosential, Salesforce) and project tracking tools
10+ years of experience in construction business development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Strong portfolio of secured heavy civil and demolition projects across sectors such as site development, infrastructure, manufacturing plants, energy facilities, power plants, higher education, and medical
Exceptional executive communication and strategic planning skills
Experience working with large owners, general contractors, and engineering firms at the national level
FSA & HSA
Deep understanding of procurement processes, design assist / design build delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or similar is preferred
