What you would be doing

  • Create Pole Permit Packages.
  • Collaborate with in-house MRE Engineering Team to implement quality assurance practices to maintain consistent production quality throughout the project.
  • Work a schedule that parallels the hours of the work schedule of our customer
  • Follow very specific and detailed procedures already implemented while remaining flexible enough to readily adapt to changing standards and procedures without notice.
  • Follow-up with our customer and provide a status of any and all assigned work
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprise project management team of risks, issues, and recommended mitigations.
  • Follow up with pole owners for requirements for pole permit submittals.
  • Ensures the integrity of the customer access network is maintained and provides support for the deployment of access technologies.
  • Receive and review completed fiber network route design packages ensuring that each package meets customer specifications and guidelines.

  • Sound MRE engineering experience deploying fiber optic networks - Knowledge of engineering principles within MRE job related functional area including general practices, procedures and industry standards.
  • Must pass a drug test
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management.
  • Knowledge of engineering tools including AutoCAD, OCalc, 3-GIS,or any similar GIS/KMZ platforms.
  • Qualify on pre-employment screening
  • Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Google Sheets and Google Drive.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with proven problem solving ability, self-motivation, leadership, and team building capabilities with the ability to negotiate and motivate others.
  • Experience working all aspects of telecom with knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards.
  • Strong language skills are required, both oral & written
  • General understanding of joint use agreements and joint use management software such as NJUNS, SPAN, ALDEN ONE, etc.
  • Solid background in Telecommunications with an emphasis on MRE / Quality Assurance
  • Read and understand highway/road prints, utility maps, and as-builts to identify conflicts with existing facilities and understand basis for choosing most cost efficient route.
  • Obtain satisfactory results from a background/employment history investigation and drug screening
  • Possess STRONG communication & PEOPLE skills
