Control Room Alarm Monitor

Description

The Alarm Monitoring Technician works a 12‑hour rotating shift, continuously monitoring equipment and system alarms, evaluating each alert, and initiating appropriate responses. The role requires prompt acknowledgment, coordination with responsible parties, and accurate documentation of work orders and corrective actions.

• Visually monitor and evaluate all equipment and system alarms.
• Acknowledge alarms and contact the appropriate responsible party via telephone or two‑way radio.
• Initiate and process alarm work orders, documenting actions from entry to close‑out.
• Track root cause, investigation, and corrective actions, and reconcile alarms with shift printouts.
• Monitor and document planned alarms while complying with safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for accurate data entry and reporting.

Requirements

This position is based on‑site in Sanford, NC and does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Communicate and collaborate across all organizational levels with a customer‑service mindset.
• Operate independently, multitask in a fast‑paced environment, and adapt to constant change.
• Preferred: knowledge of Delta V and BMS alarm systems; knowledge of EAMS or other CMMS.
