Regulatory Compliance Manager

Experienced Regulatory Compliance Lead to manage and oversee all regulatory and compliance-related activities for a major offshore development project. This role is critical in ensuring that all phases, from engineering and construction to operations, adhere to both local and international regulatory standards, with a particular focus on floating production systems.

• Contribute to risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for regulatory-related risks.
• Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and assess impact on project execution.
• Serve as the primary liaison with classification societies and local regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting systems to demonstrate regulatory adherence.
• Coordinate and support audits, inspections, and certification processes.
• Review and validate engineering documentation to ensure alignment with relevant codes, standards, and legal requirements.
• Develop and lead the regulatory compliance strategy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Advise cross-functional teams including engineering, HSE, and commissioning on regulatory compliance matters.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including DNV, ABS, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and regional offshore frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
• Prior engagement with regulatory bodies in emerging offshore markets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and technical documentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience with FPU or FPSO developments, preferably in international settings.
• Understanding of compliance requirements for high-pressure systems and subsea production facilities.
• Multilingual proficiency is an added advantage.
• 8-10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within oil and gas projects.
