Overview

Creates and updates residential architectural CAD drawings for home construction.

Tasks

-Drafting, modification, and maintenance of new and existing home plans. -Ensure marketing department has current plans for creation of brochures and review all brochures to verify accuracy. -Development of plan sets for plot plan requests and permitting. -Ensure drawing information is kept up to date with all applicable building codes. -Provide drawing clarification and support to sales and construction teams as needed. -Ensure master plan file is kept up to date with all plan updates/changes. -Drafting construction "redline" plan sets with selected options/upgrades for field use. -Visit construction sites as necessary to identify any design issues or cost saving opportunities. -Maintain CAD software and file management.

What You Bring

-Minimum 5 years’ experience in production home building residential architecture and design. -Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. -Bachelor's or Associates degree in Architectural Design, Construction, Drafting, or related field preferred. -Lifting [up to 35 lbs] -Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy. -Sitting [90 % of time] -Knowledge of residential plans and construction drawings. -Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing. -Standing [10 % of time] -Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
