This position will be responsible for all quantity surveying activities with regards to the project. Participates in all discussions regarding quantity surveying issues in discussions with the Employer of the project, progress meetings throughout the duration of the project and communications regarding all quantity surveying matters with Contractors, Consultants and other parties associated with the project.
Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high‑quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Monitor contractors' cost control procedures throughout the project, including construction, final account, and defects maintenance phases.
- Implement and maintain cost control and audit procedures for project cost control activities.
- Assess, evaluate, and recommend actions on financial claims, providing input for settlement.
- Evaluate variations, additional works, field changes, additions, and omissions, and incorporate them into monthly cost reports.
- Prepare and price change orders, negotiating agreements with the client and contractor as needed.
- Negotiate contracts with contractors in partnership with the Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager.
- Conduct viability studies and cost estimates.
- Attend and record cost review meetings with contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of invitation to tender packages.
- Review contractor’s and consultant’s payment applications with the Commercial Manager.
- Provide assistance during negotiations, arbitration, or other dispute resolution processes.

Degree in quantity surveying, construction engineering, or related field. Minimum 4 years of general consultant/construction experience in the estimation management field.
In‑depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry, with strong oral and written English communication skills. An enthusiastic, conscientious team player who is computer literate, proficient in MS Excel, able to compile data, prepare reports, work to tight deadlines, and demonstrate good planning, organizational, conceptual, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
