Distribution Centre Manager

Description

As Distribution Center Manager you will drive operational excellence across the warehouse and yard, ensuring seamless, efficient processes with customer satisfaction at the forefront. You will shape strategies, streamline workflows, and champion a culture of safety, collaboration and continuous improvement, making a measurable impact on performance and innovation while delivering world‑class supply chain solutions.

• Oversee daily distribution operations to meet service and quality targets.
• Ensure health and safety compliance for employees, contractors, and carriers.
• Build and lead a high‑performing team through coaching, goal setting and performance reviews.
• Manage scheduling, timecard approvals and workforce planning.
• Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Control inventory accuracy via physical counts and system reconciliation.
• Prepare and track annual budgets, analyzing variances.
• Collaborate with transportation, procurement, production and customer service teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulations and programs such as C‑TPAT.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and propose innovative solutions.
• Maintain facilities and equipment through proactive maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

• Hold a diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Possess 3–5 years of leadership experience in distribution or logistics; union experience is a plus.
• Demonstrate bilingual communication skills in English and French.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with RF systems and SAP is an asset.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage processes and analyze data effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
