The Traffic Control Foreman is responsible for managing the traffic control crew, their materials, and equipment while ensuring specifications are followed and work stays on schedule. The role includes supervising road striping, pavement marking, and installation of temporary and permanent traffic control devices.
Key duties include creating daily job safety analyses, overseeing crew activities, directing training, development, appraisal, and work assignments, and maintaining a strong understanding of project plans, blueprints, and specifications. The foreman also manages tools, materials, equipment utilization, responds to site production issues, records crew hours accurately, installs and maintains traffic control devices, and documents repairs per Webber policy.
Additional responsibilities involve complying with all safety policies, reporting unsafe activities, participating in team efforts to achieve departmental goals, and providing leadership by example and knowledge sharing.
The position requires at least 5 years of highway/road construction experience and accepts candidates with less than a high school diploma. Required certifications include a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10/30, and First Aid/CPR.
