  • Maintain and inspect rigging, hoisting, and climbing equipment to ensure proper use and safety
  • Follows safety protocols and installation procedures with accuracy and care, and requires others to do the same
  • Encourages continuous improvement and identifies areas for process enhancement
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools, materials, and waste are properly handled and disposed of
  • Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting, including sweep testing, PIM testing, and fiber/connector inspections
  • Assist the foreman in training, mentoring, and supporting less experienced team members in both technical skills and safety practices
  • Serve as the lead technician on site, directing daily crew operations, and ensuring adherence to scope, and safety and quality standards
  • Complete required documentation accurately, including daily reports, quality checklists, and site photos
  • Perform and oversee the installation, alignment, and troubleshooting of antennas, radios, hybrid cables, connectors, and mounts
  • Model safe behavior on-site and ensure crew participation in all safety protocols, meetings, and briefings
  • Climb and perform work on communication towers and elevated structures up to 500 feet
  • Works effectively with crew members and foreman; supports a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Maintains awareness of surroundings and safety risks while working at heights and with heavy equipment
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Interpret and ensure execution of construction drawings, site plans, and RF specifications
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure all work is completed according to customer and Company standards
  • Travel regularly to job sites, which may include overnight stays

  • Other relevant certifications may be required per the scope of work being performed (i.e. NWSA Certification, Hazcom Certification, Blood Born Pathogen Certification, RF Safety Certification etc.)
  • Must have or obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
  • Ability to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protection harness, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and RF engineering documents
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • Ability to travel away from home up to 75% of the time, including weekends and extended travel. Travel includes local site travel or national travel depending on business needs
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Must be physically and mentally fit to perform tower rescues and participate in safety drills and training exercises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
  • Competent Climber/Rescue Certification from an accredited institution
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
  • Proven ability to complete complex tower work independently and guide others
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and grasp materials and tools with both hands
  • Ability to climb and work at heights while wearing a safety harness, maintaining a total combined weight (which includes body weight, clothing, equipment, and tools) between 130 pounds and 310 pounds in accordance with industry fall protection standards
  • Ability to manage time and resources efficiently
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at varying elevations
  • Ability to climb vertically and pull one’s own body weight, along with necessary tools and equipment, up to 500 feet, and perform work at heights on towers and other elevated structures for extended periods
  • Experience overseeing crews and supporting field operations
  • Competence with GPS, test equipment, and site audit tools
  • Must have or obtain and maintain OSHA 30 Construction Training Card
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
  • Ability to work long and unpredictable hours
  • Ability to work long hours in outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, or snow
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in wireless tower construction, maintenance, or field services
  • Must have or obtain and maintain Competent Rigging and Hoisting Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of wireless communication infrastructure and equipment
  • Skilled in sweep, fiber, and PIM testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization
