The 10‑week summer internship runs from Monday, June 8 to Friday, August 14 2026. Interns participate in learning and development sessions (both e‑learning and instructor‑led), receive mid‑point and final evaluations, and engage in corporate social‑responsibility events, networking activities, speaker series, and collaborative group projects. A capstone research project is completed with fellow interns.
Guidehouse delivers customer‑centric solutions for clean‑energy programs such as energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, storage, renewable generation, and sustainability. As an intern you will join project teams to create client deliverables, gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and recommend best‑practice strategies.
- Perform data analysis, technical engineering reviews, and economic modeling.
- Conduct primary data collection, fact‑finding, and market or policy research.
- Write analytical reports and develop technology strategies for utilities, government, and energy companies.
- Communicate solutions and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Assess energy‑efficiency and renewable‑energy technologies and trends.
- Build and run energy‑simulation models for building or industrial processes.
- Measure field performance and collect data on energy systems.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, be graduating with an undergraduate or advanced degree between Fall 2026 and Fall 2027, and be able to travel and work onsite at a Guidehouse or client office.

- Degree in engineering (electrical, power, industrial, chemical, mechanical), physics, data science, business, economics, or related field.
- Strong interest or experience in clean energy, sustainability, energy markets, or consulting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel; knowledge of R, Python, SQL, or similar programming languages.
- Outstanding analytical, problem‑solving, and quantitative/qualitative skills.
- Proactive, independent work style with ability to own significant tasks while collaborating.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
