The role sits within LPSD, which designs and manufactures high‑power diesel and spark‑ignited engines for sectors such as oil & gas, power, marine, rail and industrial applications. The manager will lead the site’s customs governance, working with customs administrators, brokers, legal and global trade teams to resolve issues and drive improvement.
Key responsibilities include leading import and export compliance programs, developing and maintaining policies, conducting risk assessments, overseeing clearance documentation, advising internal stakeholders, managing broker performance, and representing the site during audits and regulatory inquiries.
The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 Certificate in Customs Compliance (UK) or a relevant degree, has proven experience leading teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing or logistics environment, and possesses strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑influence skills. Experience with export controls, customs audits and governance reporting is essential.
